Alexis M. Gacey is an Ohio attorney focusing her practice on domestic relations and family law matters. She represents clients in cases involving prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, divorce, custody and parenting time, child and spousal support, civil protection orders, and post-decree disputes. Alexis obtained her Ohio bar admission in November 2018

In addition to trial-level representation in courts throughout Ohio, Alexis routinely represents clients in appellate matters across multiple appellate districts. She also has experience handling international child custody matters implicating the 1980 Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. Alexis was admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio in 2020.

Alexis earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 2018. While in law school, she served as an Executive Editor of the Cleveland State Law Review and completed a judicial externship with the Cuyahoga County Domestic Relations Court. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Writing, cum laude, from Miami University of Ohio.

Prior to founding The Law Office of Alexis M. Gacey, LLC, Alexis practiced family law at Thurman Baron LLC, where she represented clients in complex domestic relations matters across multiple Ohio jurisdictions. Earlier in her career, Alexis worked at Rosenthal | Thurman | Lane, first as a law clerk and later as an associate attorney, gaining extensive experience in domestic relations litigation.

Alexis approaches domestic relations matters with an understanding that these cases require both strategic legal judgment and measured advocacy. She is committed to guiding clients through complex and emotionally charged disputes while maintaining a clear focus on protecting their legal interests.

Alexis is a Cleveland native and resides on the east side of Cleveland with her family.
